The Ogun
State governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has promised to complete the ongoing
projects that his administration will inherit.

He gave the
promise on Monday, during a courtesy visit to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of
Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, in his palace.
Prince
Abiodun, who thanked Oba Gbadebo and the people of Egbaland for their support
in becoming the governor, said he will run a focused and all inclusive
government that will meet the yearnings and aspirations of the entire
citizenry.
He said his
administration will create an enabling environment for public private
partnership to thrive, as this will lead to creation of more jobs.
Speaking on
the infrastructural development going on in Abeokuta and other parts of the
state, Prince Abiodun assured Oba Gbadebo that his administration will continue
to build on what is on ground, while emphasis will also be laid on rural
infrastructural development across the state.
The
governor-elect gave his words that local government administration will be
re-energised to perform its statutory functions, because it is the closest to
the people.
According to
him, if the local governments are functional, people in the rural areas will
feel the impact of government.
Prince
Abiodun also gave the assurance that salaries and emoluments of workers as well as
pensioners will be given pride of place in his administration.
In his
remark, Oba Gbadebo congratulated Prince Abiodun for emerging victorious in the
governorship election, and prayed for his success in office.
The Royal
Father reminded Prince Abiodun to implement his electoral promises which will
endear him to the people of the state.
Prince
Abiodun was assured of full cooperation and support by Oba Gbadebo.
