Ogun State
House of Assembly on Tuesday passed into law, three amendment bills approving
the renaming of three state owned higher institutions.

The affected
institutions are; Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu, which is to be
known as Ogun State College of Education, Jobore-Omu; Ogun State College of
Health Technology, Ilese-Ijebu, now Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied
Sciences, Ilese-Ijebu and Gateway Polytechnic, Igbesa, now Ogun Institute of
Technology, Igbesa.
According to
the Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, the passage of the bills was
aimed at ensuring improved service delivery.
