The president of the club, Basorun (TPL) Wale Taiwo, said the need to upgrade the health facility was borne out of the care of the District Governor and members of the Rotary Clubs within the district.

Basorun Taiwo said the upgraded health centre is just one out of many of such rehabilitated in Lagos and Ogun States with partnership and collaboration of Rotary District 9110 and Rotary Clubs in the two states.

“Let me quickly remind us that this single project has addressed two out of the six areas of focus of Rotary International which include Child and Maternal Care & Disease prevention and treatment, while the second project addresses the Economic and Community Development which is another area of focus of Rotary International. Therefore, in all, our club has been able to address three out of the six areas of focus”, Basorun Taiwo said.

The president thanked the District Governor for the laudable initiative and intervention which he described as a lasting legacy for the Ago-Iwoye community.

He also commended the collaborative effort of the District through the District Grant, by increasing the club’s micro-credit finance scheme capital base from N500,000.00 to N1,000,000.00
