Abiodun commends Ogun Assembly over peaceful election

The governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commended the State Assembly over the peaceful conduct of election that led to the emergence of the new Speaker, Hon Olakunle Oluomo and other principal officers of the 9th Assembly.

Governor Abiodun gave the commendation on Monday, when the newly elected principal officers paid a familiarisation visit to him in his office.

The new speaker expressed the readiness of the Assembly to support the Abiodun-led administration by enacting laws and putting up legislation that will assist in achieving the agenda to build a better future for the state.

Governor Abiodun, in his response, advised  the new principal officers not to see their election as their rights,  but accept the fact that they were given additional responsibilities to serve, demonstrate leadership and character, while urging them to carry their colleagues along in their legislative activities.

The governor also reiterated his administration's commitment towards creating enabling environment for a public private sector partnership which is fundamental to the creation of an enduring economic development and individual prosperity of the people of Ogun State.
