Gov Abiodun vows to tackle insecurity in Ogun

Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has vowed to increase the level of security in the state.

The governor, while addressing a press conference in his Oke-Mosan office on Monday, made the declaration in response to the three cases of kidnapping that occurred recently in the state. 

Abiodun expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari and Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu for their support which resulted in  quick deployment of men, equipment, resources and helicopters which were used in rescuing the victims and arrest of the suspects.

The governor reiterated his commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property of indigenes and non indigenes of the state, while commending the pivotal roles of the security agencies in the state for their being alert in case of any emergency that might occur.

He stressed that a secured environment promotes the growth of any legitimate investment across the state, and therefore assured that the life and property of every investor in the state is well  secured, as no part of the state will be an hide out for any criminal.

He said Ogun State government is ready to tackle any form of insecurity across the state.

Governor Abiodun also fired warning shots to landlords and property owners in the state to desist from harbouring criminals, as the state government will take possession of such property and demolish it, while the landlord  or property owner will be prosecuted if found culpable.
