COVID-19: Ijebu North Council Boss inaugurates committee on sensitisation

The Chairman, Transition Committee, Ijebu-North Local Government, Hon. Olusola 'Yekeen Jayeola, has inaugurated a sensitisation committee that will work on the ways to bring to the barest minimum, the effect of the rampaging coronavirus across the local government.

The chairman saddled the committee with responsibility of combating headlong, the spread of the epidemic and find a way to bring the scourge to a halt.

The Committee is to be headed by the Council Chairman, while the local government's PHC Coordinator, Dr. Ogunsilu, will serve as the Secretary.

Other members of the Committee  include: the Head of Local Government Administration, Prince 'Tola Oshunlaja, Head of Water & Environmental Sanitation, Mrs. B. T. Badejo, with others drawn from various departments.

The Committee, upon inauguration, immediately swung into action by marshalling its itinerary on the places to be visited, (which include regular markets, supermarkets, motor parks, hotels, restaurants etc.) for sensitisation, while the distribution of hand sanitizers and hand washing materials will follow.
