Gov Dapo Abiodun
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Public Communication, Pastor Remmy Hazzan, disclosed on a live television programme that, Governor Abiodun, during the press conference, will reel out relief package to cushion the effect of the 'stay at home' order imposed on the citizenry to contain the spread of coronavirus.
He said the relief package to be announced by the governor will be for those who cannot fend for themselves, and are truly in need.
Pastor Hazzan said that government has stepped up its efforts in tackling the COVID-19, as the state is preparing for a worst case scenario, even though the best is being expected.
He added that there are 3 prepared isolation centres at General Hospital, Iberekodo, Abeokuta, Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu and Model School, Ikenne, while the houses donated by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Mr Fola Adeola, will be equipped to take care of patients.
The Special Adviser advised the people of the state to acquire the things they will need before the commencement of the stay at home directive, while he enjoined them to observe the directive in order to avoid the wrath of the security agents that will be all over the place for enforcement.
