INLG Chairman, Hon Sola Jayeola
As part of measures put in place to contain the ravaging effect of the coronavirus pandemic, the Chairman of Transition Committee, Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. 'Sola Yekeen Jayeola, on Tuesday, kicked off the fumigation of public places in the local government.
The kick off ceremony, which took place at the local government secretariat, Ijebu-Igbo, came on the heels of the directive of the State Governor, Prince 'Dapo Abiodun, to all local government chairmen, to embark on the decontamination and disinfection of public places, such as markets and motor parks, in their respective Council Areas.
The fumigation team
The Chairman, who was accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Sansa Ismaila, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Sanwo Abeeblahi, the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Prince 'Tola Oshunlaja, members of staff of the local government's Water & Environmental Sanitation department, led by the Director, Mrs. Badejo, took the fumigation exercise to the Obada market, enroute the motor parks, filling stations, schools and other public places in Ijebu-Igbo.
The fumigation exercise continues on Wednesday across the towns and villages in the local government.
