Mr Maiwada, while reacting on issues raised by some participants on Whatsapp platform of Great Achiever Magazine, on alleged lopsidedness in the distribution of Customs' seized goods, said, "after seizure and court condemnation, the Customs only implement the government directives".
He therefore advised people to reach out to the appropriate quarters for any clarification.
Mr Jide Odusanya, a participant on the platform, had alleged that goods seized by Customs in Ogun State were taken to other parts of the country for distribution, while the citizens of Ogun State, where the seizure was made were denied the benefit of such distribution.
But the PRO denied the allegation, explaining that in the last few days, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs brought some trailers of food items as palliatives from Federal government, and such items were from Customs in FOU Zone A and not Ogun state.
He said that allocations of seized items are done to the vulnerable people within Nigeria irrespective of their location, while disclosing that distribution of items to orphanage was done throughout the nation.
He therefore urged members of the public who are in doubt, to visit Customs office to get copies of the landing certificates of items delivered.
Maiwada also advised people to get themselves acquainted with Freedom of Information Act, so as to know how to access official documents, as it is never done via social media to anonymous person.
In his own contribution, Otunba Samson Okulaja (aka Flash), advised the government to be more transparent in the distribution of seized goods across the country.
He said it will be difficult for people to trust government if they don't see the evidence of distribution of the seized goods to the indigents in their respective communities.
Alhaji Kabir Omosanya, in his opinion said that the problem with some Nigerians is that they are troubled by entitlement syndrome, which is, expecting too much from government.
He observed that, from all indications and concrete evidences, agents of government are not helping matters.
Omosanya asked: "If we are proud to call some Nigerians vulnerable and poorest of the poor, who impoverished them?
"And since 1999 that this dispensation has been on, how many Nigerians have our politicians empowered?
"The situation is nauseating", he concluded.
