Ago-Iwoye indigenes raise N3m to save 7-month old baby with congenital heart disease

The spirit of unity, oneness and service to humanity among the indigenes of Ago-Iwoye, was demonstrated on Saturday, when the sum of N3m was raised within six hours via voluntary donation on an online platform, Ago-Iwoye Development Great Thinkers.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that the N3m was raised to facilitate the surgery required to save 7-month old baby, Yusuf Kehinde, who was diagnosed of congenital heart disease.

The plight of the little baby was brought to the notice of participants on the online platform barely one week ago.

Thereafter, participants on the platform unanimously agreed to raise the money, while administrators of the platform were asked to coordinate the fund raising which was slated for Saturday, 23rd May, 2020, between 12noon and 6.00pm, with strict instruction that nobody should post anything on the platform except postings about the fund raising within the scheduled hours.

Indeed, the instruction was adhered to, and at the end of the exercise, the sum of N3m was raised.

In their remarks, the administrators of the platform, Messrs Yinka Sipe, Sola Olufeisan and Wole D Star, thanked the donors for coming to the aid of baby Yusuf Kehinde, who will be taken to Babcock University Teaching Hospital for the surgery after successfully raising the N3m which the hospital asked for.
