COVID-19: Ogun issues guidelines for partial resumption of work by civil servants


Following the approval by Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for partial resumption of workers from Monday, 4th May, 2020, the state government has issued guidelines for the resumption of work by civil servants in the state.

According to a circular letter signed by the Permanent Secretary, K. P Fagbohun, on behalf of the State Head of Service, all Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and the Local Governments are to put in place modalities that will ensure that not more than 30% of their staff report for work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only until further notice.

All Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as well as Local Governments are expected to make available, hand washing materials and sanitisers, while all staff on duty must put on face masks, and the rule of social distancing must be adhered to all the time.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that the MDAs and Local Governments are advised to ensure that public health and safety are not compromised in anyway.

Meanwhile, educational institutions at all levels in the State are exempted from resumption of work.
