LTCDR Kazeem Emiabata
Great Achiever Magazine reports that late Emiabata, who died in active service was a senior Naval Officer.
He was born on 19th December, 1969, and attended Igan Wesley School, Ago-Iwoye from 1976 to 1982 for his elementary education before he proceeded to Muslim High School, Ago-Iwoye between 1982 and 1988 for his secondary education.
LTCDR Emiabata was admitted into the Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago-Iwoye, where he obtained Diploma in Physical and Health Education in 1992 and B.Sc (ED) Physical and Health Education in 1997.
LTCDR Kazeem Emiabata began his Military career as a Commissioned Officer in the Nigerian Navy and served in the following positions: Watch Keeping Officer (WKO), NNS ARADU, 2003-2004; Watch Keeping Duty (WKD), NNS NWAMBA, 2005-2006; Sports Officer, Nigerian Navy Basic Training School, Onne, Port Harcourt, 2006-2008; Sports Officer, Nigerian Navy Engineering College, Sapele, 2008-2009; Sports Officer, NNS Delta, Warri, 2010-2013; Instructor, Physical Training School, NNS Quorra, Lagos; 2013-2015; Barrack Administrative Officer, Barrack Maintenance Unit, Port Harcourt, 2015-2017; Executive Officer, NNS YOLA, 2017, and was later posted to Borno, where he served until his death.
While in service LTCDR Emiabata attended several courses such as: Sub Technical Course, 2004-2005; Junior Staff Course, 2010; Officers Long Course, 2013-2014.
Late Emiabata was an epitome of selfless service who brought his wealth of experience to bear in the service of his immediate community and society at large.
He belonged to several civil and social groups such as: National Secretary, Nigeria Military Sports Officers Association; Balogun Egbe Arobayo Okunrin/Obirin, Ago-Iwoye; Asiwaju, Egbe Arobayo Asiwaju Akile Ijebu; Baba Egbe, Famous Sisters Club, Ago-Iwoye.
LTCDR Kazeem Owolabi Emiabata was survived by wife and children.
Lt.Cdr. Kazeem Owolabi Emiabata's death was very shocking to me. I was shaken beyond words for several minutes before making calls to other friends in order to confirm the news.
ReplyDeleteI have lost a good friend and dependable brother. The whole of my town Ago-Iwoye have lost a future leader and a very promising General in the making. No doubt, we will all miss him for his uncountable good deeds.
