Oba Abdul-Razaq Adenugba

The Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, has given notice of cancellation of the 2020 annual Ojude Oba festival in Ago-Iwoye.

According to a statement signed by the Royal Father, the 2020 edition of Ojude Oba festival was cancelled on the instruction of Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetola, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Oba Adenugba, therefore, enjoined all the Horse Riders, Baloguns, Giwa of Regberegbe age groups and entire indigenes of the town to pass the information to their respective followers, members and friends.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that Ojude Oba festival is an annual event that takes place on the 3rd day of Eid-el-Kabir, with royal homage being paid by various groups, indigenes and guests to the monarch at his palace.

It is also an occasion during which the royal father gives his royal blessings, while the Baloguns display their horse riding dexterity to the admiration of all.
