Gov Abiodun commends Ogun workers for patience over new minimum wage

Gov Dapo Abiodun addressing the workers at Arcade ground

Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commended workers in the state for their patience while waiting for the implementation of the new minimum wage.

The governor gave the commendation on Tuesday at the Arcade ground, Ogun State Secretariat, Abeokuta, when the workers came to thank the governor for implementing the new minimum wage.

Governor Abiodun lauded the workers for coming to show appreciation, and not claiming that the implementation of the new minimum wage was their rights and entitlements.

He assured the workers that all other promises made by his administration will be fulfilled, appealing to the workers to continue to be patient and show understanding in the face of the poor economic situation in the country.

Abiodun, while promising responsible and responsive administration, announced the donation of a bus to the workers to ease the transportation problem they encounter while coming to work.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that Governor Abiodun's administration started the implementation of the new minimum wage of N30,500.00 last week.
