Ogun: Ago-Iwoye township road construction will be completed in record time - Hon Adekoya

The lawmaker representing Ijebu-North/Ijebu-East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Adesegun Abdel-Majid Adekoya, has assured that the rehabilitation of the Ago-Iwoye township roads which commenced on Monday, will be completed in record time.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that the township road construction was facilitated by Hon Adekoya, as part of his constituency projects.


The lawmaker, who is the Deputy Minority Whip, disclosed that the road project, which includes construction of Concrete Drainages and Asphalting with road Shoulder, will cover the stretch of Igan road through Isamuro road and Fibigbade Street; from Ome Bridge at Konigba Block to Ojude Olooto, in Ago-Iwoye, which is about 5km. The night market at Idi-Kanga in Ago-Iwoye will also be fully rehabilitated.

Adekoya, who said he is confident that the road rehabilitation will be completed in record time, also informed that the contractor handling the projects had been fully mobilised, thereby making it impossible for non performance.


He enjoined the people of Ago-Iwoye to be patient and endure any inconvenience that may be associated with the rehabilitation works, while he urged them to look forward to enjoying good road network soon.


According to Hon. Adekoya, Ogun Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA), the Federal Agency in charge of the projects, has promised to deploy the expertise needed in delivering a world class road to Ago-Iwoye residents. 


Adekoya said: "The Federal Government has been faithful to my Federal Constituency by ensuring 100% release of the budgeted fund on the projects to OORBDA.


"I give Kudos to the Federal Government on this, while I also salute the understanding and cooperation of Ogun State government".
