Ogun: Ebumawe meets Heads of Security Agencies to tackle insecurity

The Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, is to meet with the Heads of Security Agencies operating in Ago-Iwoye.

The meeting which will hold at the Ebumawe's palace, will afford the Monarch and the Heads of the Security Agencies the opportunity to review and discuss the security situation in Ago-Iwoye and environs with a view to further strengthening the security network of the area.

Speaking with Great Achiever Magazine at his palace, Oba Adenugba said, as the Traditional Ruler of Ago-Iwoye, in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State, it has become imperative for him to ensure adequate security of lives and properties in his domain, hence, the meeting with the Heads of the Security Agencies, which he summoned at his palace.

Oba Adenugba disclosed that with the growing insecurity situation across the country, proactive measures need to be taken in order to forestall any untoward incident, adding that, despite the fact that Ago-Iwoye has been peaceful, the need for security consciousness at all times should not be ruled out.

He said that apart from meeting with the security agencies, he has been reaching out to indigenes and residents of the town on the need to support the security agencies by giving information and other forms of assistance, because security is everybody's business which should not be left alone for the security agents.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that those expected to attend the meeting include: The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ago-Iwoye Division, Heads of NSCDC, FRSC, Vigilante, OPC, Amotekun, Hunters Association and Chief Security Officer of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.
