It was a roll call of who is who at Awa-Ijebu as Oluomo Femi Bakre and his wife, Iya Afin Funke Bakre were conferred with the Chieftaincy titles of Otunba Bobaselu and Yeye Bobaselu by the royal father of Awa-Ijebu, Oba Abib Awobajo.
The event, which took place on Wednesday, July 14, brought together royal fathers across Ijebu land, captains of industries as well as family and friends who witnessed the historic occasion.
Great Achiever Magazine reports that Oba Awobajo said Oluomo Femi Bakre and his wife were honoured with the Chieftaincy titles in appreciation of their unflinching support and contributions to the development of Awa-Ijebu and society at large.
The royal father urged Oluomo Bakre and his wife to continue with their good deeds which they are known for, as more honours await them.
Speaking with Great Achiever Magazine, Oluomo Femi Bakre thanked Oba Awobajo and the people of Awa-Ijebu for the great honour bestowed on him and his wife.
He promised not to disappoint the people of Awa-Ijebu, as he and his wife are always ready to continue to contribute their quota to the development of the town.
Oluomo Bakre, a foremost banker, dedicated the honour bestowed on him and his wife to the people of Ago-Iwoye, particularly, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, for their support to his family at all times.
