Residents of Ago-Iwoye have alerted Ogun State government of impending epidemic if the overflowing refuse dump site at Ago-Iwoye market is not evacuated immediately.
Great Achiever Magazine reports that the refuse dump site at Ago-Iwoye market has been abandoned by Ijebu North local government which is in charge of its evacuation.
The refuse dump site with foul smell oozing out of it, is an eyesore and presently constitutes health hazard to market men and women, as well as visitors to the market and people who live around the area.
A cross section of residents of the town who spoke to Great Achiever Magazine have called on Ogun State government to urgently come to their aid by ensuring immediate evacuation of the refuse dump site in order to avert any health related disaster.
