Chief Abdul-Mojeed 'Bosun Sipe has said that he is the duly recognised and legitimate Baale of Aba-Paanu Moborode, Ago-Iwoye.
He disclosed this to Great Achiever Magazine, following claims by Mr. Segun Banjo that he is the Baale of Aba-Paanu Moborode.
According to Chief Sipe, "One Segun Banjo has been going round, deceiving members of the public that he is the Baale of Aba-Paanu Moborode, which is not true.
"Segun Banjo can best be described as an impostor, who is testing the will of the people of Aba-Paanu Moborode who unanimously chose me as the Baale, and the authority of Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, who officially installed me as the Baale on Thursday, 19th August, 2021".
Chief Bosun Sipe said his selection and installation as Baale followed due process of series of screenings, having come from one of the established ruling houses (Sanusi-Aina Igbemo Akadi ruling house) of Aba-Paanu Moborode.
He therefore urged members of the public to disregard the spurious claims of Segun Banjo, who he warned to stop parading himself as Baale, failure which he should be ready to face the wrath of the law.
Chief Sipe enjoined the peace loving people of Aba-Paanu Moborode to go about their normal businesses without any fear of intimidation or molestation.
However, Mr. Segun Banjo, while speaking with Great Achiever Magazine, said after the demise of the immediate past Baale of Aba-Paanu, he was chosen by the community as the Baale-Elect from the Alli Osikogbe ruling house, which he claimed to be the only ruling house in Aba-Paanu.
He said he was surprised at the installation of Chief Bosun Sipe as the Baale of Aba-Paanu, having earlier written a letter of petition to the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye to protest the selection of Chief Sipe.
Mr. Banjo further said that if the situation requires legal action to be taken, he would do that.
