The new Area Commander, Nigeria Police Force, Ijebu Area Command, Edward Omosanyin, on Monday paid a familiarisation visit to the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba in his palace.
Omosanyin, who was recently posted to Ijebu Area Command, said his visit was to acquaint himself with the situation on ground in Ago-Iwoye and environs to enable him improve on the security architecture he met on ground.
Great Achiever Magazine reports that the Area Commander gave assurance of maximum security and peaceful atmosphere in Ago-Iwoye and entire Ijebuland.
He pleaded with Oba Adenugba to help prevail on the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to look into how to rehabilitate or put palliative measures in place along the damaged portion of the Ijebu Ode-Ibadan road in order to reduce accident risks.
In his remarks, the monarch thanked the Area Commander for his visit while assuring him of the support of Ago-Iwoye community in his task of securing the Ijebu Area Command.
Oba Adenugba promised to deliver the message of the Area Commander to Governor Abiodun, advising him to also input the message into the police report to the governor.
