A special prayer session to commemorate the 50th posthumous birthday anniversary of late Alhaja Tawakalt Omowunmi Ogunjobi, wife of Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi, was held on Monday, 20th December, 2021.
Great Achiever Magazine reports that Alhaja Ogunjobi died on 20th May, 2021, after a brief illness.
The posthumous birthday anniversary, which had in attendance Islamic clerics and distinguished personalities from all walks of life, was held at the Ago-Iwoye residence of Asiwaju Ogunjobi.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of late Alhaja Tawakalt, while her husband and children were committed to the hands of God for protection.
Alhaji Tele Ogunjobi, an aspirant for the 2023 House of Representatives election, while thanking dignitaries that were present at the occasion, announced that he will build a N70m (Seventy million naira) 35-bed space modern hospital to be known as Alhaja Tawakalt Omowunmi Mother and Child Memorial Hospital at Ago-Iwoye, in memory of his late wife.
Ogunjobi further disclosed that the sum of N8m (Eight million naira), the bank draft of which he presented at the occasion, has been set aside for the take off of the hospital project, while he assured that in the next few weeks the amount will be increased to N70m (Seventy million naira).
He said the hospital upon completion will be well equipped with modern medical equipment that will enhance quality health service delivery.
