Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem hosts 2022 Ramadan Lecture in Ago-Iwoye

Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem, the Otun Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye, on Sunday, April 24, hosted the 2022 Annual Ramadan Lecture at his Ago-Iwoye residence.


Great Achiever Magazine reports that the Ramadan Lecture had in attendance Islamic Scholars and Muslim faithful within and outside of Ago-Iwoye.

In his sermon at the occasion, the Mufasir of Ago-Iwoye, Dr Abdul-Ganiy Hashimi, said Ramadan is one of the pillars of Islam and all Muslim faithful are expected to observe it, saying that the reward therein is limitless.


He urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion to be close to Allah and do away with sins that can deprive them of blessings of Allah.

Dr Hashimi counselled those who are fasting not to return to all the things that negate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SWT), which were done away with during the fasting period.


He commended Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem for continuously hosting the Ramadan Lecture every year, while he prayed for protection and blessings of Allah in his life.

Alhaji Kazeem, while speaking to Great Achiever Magazine, said, the annual Ramadan Lecture which he hosts every year is part of his contributions to Islam, and also a way of showing appreciation to Allah for His blessings in his life.


The Olori Omooba and Asiwaju Onigbagbo of Ago-Iwoye, Prince (Dr) Feyisayo Soyewo, who was present at the occasion, urged the Ago-Iwoye Muslim community to continue to pray for the town.


Soyewo said he was very proud to associate with the Muslim community, assuring that he will continue to support Islam as he has always been doing.


In his remarks, the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba, charged Ago-Iwoye Muslim community to continue to preach and embrace peace within its rank, advising them to show transparency in all their activities.


Oba Adenugba commended Alhaji Kazeem for hosting the yearly Ramadan Lecture, praying that Allah will replenish his pocket.


Some of the dignitaries that attended the Lecture include: Senator Lekan Mustapha, Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi, Otunba Kola Onakoya, Olotu Dipo Sofowora, Mr Akin Ogungbe, Rt. Hon. Dare Kadiri (Maba), Prince Leke Sofodun, Alhaji Wale Olufowobi, Alhaji Yesiru Yisau (YY), Mr. Siji Odufuwa, Dr Lekan Rufai, Giwa Murphy Bayo Adesegun, Bashorun Bola Olufowobi and Akin Onalaja.
