Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye to celebrate Oruken Festival

The Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, His Royal Highness, Oba Abdul-Razaq Adesina Adenugba is set to celebrate annual Oruken festival.


According to a statement from the Ebumawe's palace, this year's Oruken Festival will hold on Saturday, 10th September, 2022.


Oba Adenugba, while speaking with Great Achiever Magazine said the annual festival has been repackaged to meet with international standard.


He said the festival has been elevated to serve as tourist attraction to indigenes and non indigenes within the country and in the Diaspora.


Oba Adenugba disclosed that guests expected at this year's festival include 30 Royal Fathers, eminent personalities, traditional worshippers and dancers within and outside Ogun State who will showcase the rich culture and tradition of the Yorubas.


The Monarch enjoins all his friends and well wishers to be part of the festival to celebrate with him.


Great Achiever Magazine reports that in the early morning of the day of the festival, Oba Adenugba will pay homage to his ancestral family home where prayers will be offered for the progress and development of Ago-Iwoye and its people.


He will later visit the Oruken shrine where traditional rites will be performed.


Thereafter, entertainment of guests will hold at the Ebumawe's palace.
