Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem now Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye

 

Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem receiving letter of appointment as Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye



The Muslim Community in Ago-Iwoye has conferred the title of Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye on Alhaji Safiriyu Adebanjo Kazeem.


Alhaji Kazeem, who was Otun Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye, succeeds Late Senator (Chief) Jubril Martins Kuye, who was until his death the Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that the letter of appointment as Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye was presented to Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem at his Ago-Iwoye residence on Friday, 9th December, 2022.


In a short sermon at the presentation of the letter, Alhaji Fasasi Oladunjoye, the Ekerin Adinni of Imere, Ago-Iwoye, lauded the philanthropic activities of Alhaji Kazeem, not only to Islam, but to humanity in general.

He said Islamic Scholars and Religious leaders would always guide adherents of Islam in the right direction, while urging Alhaji Kazeem to collaborate with his friends to always contribute to the development of Islam.


The Chief Imam of Ago-Iwoye, Alhaji Alli Shittu, officially pronounced Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem the Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye and thereafter presented the official letter of appointment to him.


His wife, Alhaja Medinat Kazeem, was also appointed the Iya Adinni of Ago-Iwoye.

Speaking at the occasion, Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi congratulated Alhaji Kazeem on his new title, saying that his appointment as Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye, was well deserved.


He commended Alhaja Medinat Kazeem for being highly supportive of her husband and being an example of a good wife.


In the same vein, Prince (Dr) Feyisayo Soyewo described Alhaji Kazeem as a man of integrity whose commitment to selfless service to humanity is legendary.


He therefore thanked the Muslim Community for finding him worthy of the appointment.


Prince Soyewo also appreciated the honour of Iya Adinni of Ago-Iwoye bestowed on Alhaja Medinat Kazeem.


Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem, who is the first Balogun Musulumi of Ogun State, while responding to the new title bestowed on him, thanked the Ago-Iwoye Muslim Community for the recognition given to him.


He specifically thanked Prince Feyisayo Soyewo, for his continuous support and being a good role model to him and other people in Ago-Iwoye.


He assured the Muslim Community of his unflinching support to Islam at all times, requesting that he should be remembered in prayers always.


Alhaji Safiriyu also thanked his friends and well wishers for their attendance at a very short notice.


Great Achiever Magazine reports that official turbanning of Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem as the Aare Musulumi of Ago-Iwoye will come up very soon.


Highpoint of the event was the joint donation and presentation of a Toyota Camry car by Alhaji Safiriyu Kazeem and Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi to the Chief Imam of Ago-Iwoye, Alhaji Alli Shittu, for his personal use.


Some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion include; Prince (Dr) Feyisayo Soyewo, Asiwaju Onigbagbo of Ago-Iwoye, Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi, Wazeeru Muslumi of Ijebuland, Senator Lekan Mustapha, Alhaji Wale Olufowobi, Otunba Biodun Ogunfodunrin, Tele Ayankoya, Alhaji Hakeem Arikewuyo, Otunba Jibola Ogundipe, Prince Segun Kaka, Beckley Oyebanjo, Prince Sefiu Adenugba.
