Pelican Valley boss, Dr Adeyemo bags Award of Excellence

L-R: Mr Daniel, Dr Adeyemo, Mr Odusile, Evang Omolaolu

An anti-corruption ambassador, Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo, has implored Nigerian youths to strategically position themselves for electioneering campaigns strategic development and not waste their time on social media insulting leaders.

Adeyemo, who is the CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Ltd, a foremost real estate firm in Ogun State, specifically charged the youths to pay attention to the manifestoes of the front runners of those seeking elective offices this year and quickly key into their deliverable electioneering promises for a strategic future self development.

The realtor gave the advice on Thursday at the Valley View auditorium, Government House Isale - Igbein, while speaking with newsmen shortly after an Award of Excellence was bestowed on him for being an outstanding estate developer of the year 2022 by the management of Gateway News Update, to mark the medium's 17th anniversary.

Dr.Adeyemo urged the youths to take advantage and the case of a candidate in the Gateway State who is building agro cargo airport, saying they should position themselves strategically today in order to benefit maximally from the said cargo airport project when it becomes operational tomorrow.

Citing the Pelican Valley Nigeria Ltd as an example, he revealed that the firm had keyed into the project, by developing a Greenish Acres farm estate within the agriculture belt of the state masterplan, for the purpose of growing, harvesting and processing farm produce for local market and export.

The real estate practitioner spanning over a decade, said that given his personal experience, it is quite possible for an average Nigerian youth to succeed here in the country without resorting to crimes, fraudulent ventures or japa (leaving the country for greener pasture elsewhere).

"I want to use this opportunity to implore Nigerian youths to position themselves for development. This is very important. They should look at the manifestoes of those seeking elective offices and key into their deliverables.

"For example, in Ogun state we have a candidate that is already building an Agro cargo airport. An average Nigerian youth and electorate ought to have keyed himself into that project as we are doing in Pelican Valley. We have keyed into it. We are developing a farm estate of which it is domiciled in the agriculture zone of the state Master Plan. And it is going to be the first Farm Estate in the state that has full layout approved by the Government, that is the power of positioning, because we are positioning ourselves strategically for the potential development. We are taking advantage of the cargo airport. And secondary, at the national level, a candidate is campaigning using agriculture. By the time the produce of our farm estate start coming out in the next three and years, it will be in the twilight of the incoming administration and we will take good advantage of the deliverables.

"So, I want to urge average Nigerian youth to key into the development that is coming and not go into the social media insulting leaders and those seeking elective offices whereas the people they mock are positioning themselves and already campaigning for their second term in office. So, if you are wise enough, you ought to have keyed yourself into deliverable electioneering promises of the front runner candidates, standing for elections this year. Don't sit down there wasting your time on social media," Adeyemo said.

On the award, he commended the media organisation for its 17 years of consistent publishing and for deeming him fit for the honour, noting that latest award brings to 30 the number of awards he has received in the last three months.
