Ago-Iwoye Central Development Council elects new officers

Ago-Iwoye Central Development Council (ACDC) has elected new officers that will pilot the affairs of the Council in the next three years.

The election, which took place on Saturday, 15th April, 2023, at the Ago-Iwoye City Hall, saw the emergence of seven new officers unopposed, while the offices of General Secretary, Treasurer, Internal Auditor were keenly contested and the election of the PRO/Social Secretary was postponed.

The new officers that were elected unopposed are; Comrade Awotunde Awobona from Egbe Bobagunte, who emerged as the Chairman; Mrs Ifedayo Oluwakemi from Egbe Tobalase is the 1st Vice Chairman; Mr Nodiru Taiwo from Ibipe Community as 2nd Vice Chairman; Assistant General Secretary is Mr Awobona Samuel from Ago-Iwoye Youth Forum; Mrs Oduneye Abosede from Egbe Bobagunwa Okunrin/Obinrin is the Chief Whip; Mrs Bolanle Osogun from Egbe Bobasanya is the Financial Secretary; Mrs Bantale Olurombi from Egbe Jagunmolu occupies the position of Ex-Officio II.

Meanwhile, Mr Alli Olusegun Bamako from Icon Gents Club defeated Mr Adekunle Oyetubo to emerge as the General Secretary; Mr Wasiu Kolawole from Egbe Tobalase Prestige defeated Mrs Olulenu Moriamo from Tender Heart Club to become the Treasurer, while Mr Gegeowo Ibrahim from Egbe Tobalase defeated Mr Alaba Adekunle from Egbe Arobayo Asiwaju to emerge as the Internal Auditor.

The inauguration of the new EXCO members will hold on Saturday,6th May, 2023.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that Ago-Iwoye Central Development Council is the umbrella body for all registered Clubs, Associations, Societies and Regberegbes in Ago-Iwoye.
