Second term: Gov Abiodun yet to make appointment

Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, is yet to make any political appointment since his assumption of office for a second term.

Abiodun, by now, is expected by many to have announced Secretary to State Government, Chief of Staff and Chief Press Secretary. 

But as at the time of this report, none of such appointments has been made.

Great Achiever Magazine reports that the inability of the governor to make any appointment by now may not be unconnected with various interest groups jostling for political appointment, thereby putting the state's helmsman in a difficult situation.

A credible source however disclosed that some of the people that served in Governor Abiodun's administration in his first term will be reappointed because of their loyalty to him, while new appointees will dominate the cabinet.

Governor Dapo Abiodun and his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako Oyedele were sworn-in for a second term on Monday, 29th May, 2023.
