Abapaanu Village Ago-Iwoye gets a boost as 20 lock-up shops, motorized borehole ready for construction

The economic activities of Abapaanu Village, Ago-Iwoye, in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State will soon be further boosted as the Federal Government, through its intervention programme gave approval for the construction of 20 lock-up shops and motorized borehole in the village.


The Head of the Village (Baale), Chief Bosun Sipe, while speaking with Great Achiever Magazine said the gesture by the government will open up the village to full economic activities.


Chief Sipe, who said the village lacks infrastructural facilities that will attract development, commended the government's intervention in the area of market development and provision of potable water, adding that the village was ready to embrace public private partnership in bringing about the desired development of the village.


He called on the indigenes of the village not to abandon their root, but strive to be part of efforts to bring the village to limelight for economic prosperity.


Otunba Sipe said he had reached out to many of his friends to join hands with him in his onerous task of taking Abapaanu Village to a higher level, adding that the solar street lights that adorn the village was made possible by friends and an illustrious son of the village. 


Great Achiever Magazine reports that Abapaanu Village Ago-Iwoye is an agrarian community whose inhabitants are well known for agricultural production over the years.
