Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, was on Monday locked out of his office in the state government house at Osadebe Avenue in the GRA by the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki.
According to the Media aide to Shaibu, Musa Ebomhiana, the deputy governor got to his office in the Government House yesterday morning only to be locked out.
Musa said the gate to the office of the Deputy Governor and the main entrance leading to the storey building was locked with chains and heavy padlocks.
According to the story emanating from the Deputy governors office, Shaibu and his aides waited for about an hour and left. He was said to have made frantic calls trying to reach the governor but to no avail.
According to the spokesman of the deputy Governor, his principal had some discussions with the state Commissioner of Police and the Director of State Security Services (DSS), alerting them of how he was locked out from his office.
